Why SFCS

Why Work With Shield Family Care Services?

We are more than a staffing agency — we are a team of professionals who genuinely care about the people we support and the colleagues who do that work. Here is what makes SFCS different.

Flexible Scheduling

Choose shifts that fit your life — days, evenings, overnights, weekends, or a mix. We work around your availability, not the other way around.

Competitive Compensation

We offer pay rates that reflect your experience, certifications, and the complexity of the work — with regular reviews as you develop your skills.

Ongoing Training

Access funded training in behaviour support, medication administration, NVCI, and more. We invest in your professional development because better-trained workers deliver better care.

Supportive Team Culture

Our coordinators are experienced in health and social services. They are available to support you on the job — not just to dispatch shifts and process paperwork.

Diverse Placement Opportunities

Work in home settings, group homes, schools, LTC, community organizations, or hospitals — giving you a broad range of experience across the Ontario healthcare system.

Meaningful Impact

Every shift you work makes a real difference in someone's life. Our clients and their families notice — and so do we. Recognition and appreciation are part of our culture.
