Our Story
Shield Family Care Services was founded with a clear purpose: to address a persistent gap in Ontario's healthcare and community support landscape. Too many facilities were struggling to find reliable, qualified staff quickly enough. Too many families were navigating complex systems alone, trying to find trustworthy support for their loved ones. And too many skilled healthcare professionals were underserved by staffing agencies that treated them as interchangeable resources rather than skilled individuals.
We started SFCS because we believed there was a better way — one grounded in relationships, rigorous screening, and genuine accountability. Our approach has always been personal. We take time to understand the needs of every facility, every family, and every professional in our network. We don't just fill positions; we make thoughtful matches that last.
